Official Announcement - MEGA Rotofury

Last week we got wind that a big announcement was due this week ahead of the UK Toy Fair which UK NERF will be attending on Thursday.

If I'm honest I was a little sceptical, assuming that it would be official news about one of the N-Strike pistols that are coming out of the woodwork.

Fortunately, I was wrong!

Blasterparts MEGA Magnus Upgrade Spring - Review

It isn't every day that you get excited when the postman calls but recently the usual utility bills and take-away menus served to cushion the fall of a large parcel.

My good friends over at Blasterparts sent me a parcel containing some exciting new products. The first of which was their shiny new 7kg MEGA Magnus spring.

MEGA Magnus UK Release Date

Finally, official news on the MEGA Magnus' appearance in the UK.

Ever since we first learned about the NERF MEGA Magnus, I have been anxious to find out whether this blaster would hit 'Old Blighty'. I recently aquired one from Singapore and I have to say, it is excellent.

But now it turns out, if I had been a bit more patient I could have saved myself a fair bit of money.

MEGA Centurion UK Release Party

Cast your minds back to September. Whilst the rest of the world were already enjoying their MEGA Centurions, nerfers in the UK (and Europe, among others) could only look on with envious eyes as our international cousins were playing with their new blasters. Most didn't really like the Centurion, but that's beside the point.

We would have to wait until 1st October for the Centurion and there was no sign of any accidental pre-releases like there was for the Rapidstrike.

Fortunately for me, UK Nerf was invited to the release party the week before the official launch... Unfortunately for me, I was away with work that week so I wouldn't be able to attend. As gutted as I was, I knew it wouldn't be a huge loss. I would have to find someone to go in my stead. I needed someone tall, strong, courageous, with an investigative mind and a sharp wit. I needed someone who wasn't afraid to ask the hard hitting questions and would tenaciously pursue an answer like a dog after a rabbit.

Launch Party Invitation

What I got was an awesome nerfer who wasn't afraid to shoot at powerful business men in the face and roll around on the floor of a fancy London restaurant in full tactical gear. What I got was Blame_Stosh.

NERF MEGA Centurion - UK Release

Following the big release party last night (Blame_Stosh's report coming soon), Hasbro UK have sent out a press release for the NERF MEGA Centurion.

There isn't much new here but it does at least confirm the blasters ranges.

Nerf MEGA Magnus - First Look

Rumours of the second blaster in the MEGA series have been floating around the Internet for a while now. Then, earlier this month a vague listing appeared on Amazon which confirmed that the 'MEGA Magnus' was a pistol with a built in magazine, much like the Speedload 6.

Thanks to the guys over at dartblaster.de, we now have our first look at the MEGA Magnus.

It's pretty.

Hasbro Christmas Party, and Updates

It's been a while, but then I've been busy (and ill).

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Hasbro's 'Christmas in July' event in London. This event was a chance for the press (and me) to have a look at all of the wonderful goodies that Hasbro would be releasing in the run up to Christmas. This would obviously include NERF stuff so naturally I was keen to attend.

The New Nerf Centurion - A slight rant

So myself and UKNerfWar were naked mud wrestling when our minds began wandering... and we began sharing our views on the Centurion...
Not that one...

This one!

Nerf MEGA Centurion - Finally, a Chance to Look Inside?

Rogue over at Nerf Revolution has managed to get his hands on a MEGA Centurion, surprisingly sent to him by Hasbro themselves!

Hasbro have always had a good relationship with NRev and it's good to see that Rogue is still nerfing, even after he's been quiet for a while. Good to see your still with us buddy.

For now he has released an unboxing video but you can be sure that both a firing demo and an internals video will be posted soon.

Subscribe to Rogue's channel if you want to see more or check out Nerf Revolution for more info.

New Centurion info - Including a picture!

Big thanks to Urbantaggers for bringing this new photo to our attention. From first glances this picture will confirm the sheer SIZE of this blaster, not too mention the fact that it is one piece - not like the Longstrike or Longshot. It's also nice to see that the rail is flush to the rest of the blaster, allowing for a better chance of a scope working on this blaster. The new darts also look really cool, and it'll be interesting to see if conversion to standard darts will be possible without major modification. The only thing that is slightly off (for me) is the distance from trigger and magazine, but I'll sure that can be solved easily *insert evil grin here*.

Either way, I (and probably UKNerfWar) will be very happy when our pre-ordered blasters become available!
