New Range? - Nerf Zombie Strike

Later this year, Hasbro will be releasing the brand new Rebelle line of blasters designed for girls. If this is news to you, where have you been?

Nerf Rebelle Wildshot

Whilst I think this new range is a brilliant thing in terms of both blaster styling, and political correctness alike, what do us red blooded, Y chromosomal gents get?

The answer? What do we all love more than nerf?

Pictured above, the nerf Rebelle Wildshot is sure to be one of my favourite blasters from the Rebelle line. Not because it's pink (although I love the Rebelle look), but because it is a hammer action revolver. From the few pictures and one video we have of this blaster, we an see that this blaster is primed by pulling the lever on the top of the handle, giving you that 'gunslinger' action you have always secretly craved.

Well now we find out that this blaster is available in another range. A range that we can all get excited about.

That never ending seam of nerfing gold, Baidu has come alive with the first images of this blaster from the Nerf 'Zombie Strike' series. This apparent repaint and restyling of the Wildshot is the first blaster we have seen form this previously unheard of range of blasters. I for one am excited. Take a look at the images below and see what you think.

The 'HammerShot' is definitely a more 'butch' version of the Wildshot. The 'bandaged' handle gives this blaster (and I assume the whole range) a real 'Fallout' style, like the blaster is being held together with string and hope. Perfect for battling hordes of reanimated corpses and slaying the undead.

I can only assume that the 'Zombie Strike' range will basically be a repaint of the Rebelle line. It seems likely that they'd release a line of the same blasters aimed at boys in an effort to boost sales. Imagine the Crossbow or the Heartbreaker Bow in the same style of this blaster. I am totally on board with Zombie Strike. I'm sure we are going to be seeing some more awesome styling in the future.
Before anyone asks, I don't know anything else about this blaster, or the Zombie Strike Range. All that I know is from this one thread on Baidu including these pictures and some comments by other Baidu members. Now, I can't read Chinese. I can only assume the other people are saying something like:

"Zombies and Nerf? That's the dream!"
"I want to find the people who came up with this idea and have their babies."

At least, that's what I would say.

There are also some internal pictures of these blasters on that thread. As the mechanism is quite complicated and seeing how they are likely the same as in the Wildshot, I have decided to include those in a separate article. I can then take the time to have a good look and figure out how this thing works.

  1. This is awesome. I can not wait!

  2. Where can I buy one?

    1. Not available until the Autumn I'm afraid. You'll have to add it to your Christmas list.
