Or is that Rough Cut?
Thanks to a keen eyed follower over at Urban Taggers, we now have our first look at this new blaster due to be released by Hasbro in 2013.
Back in September, This Wired.com article revealed the name of two new blasters, one of which being the Ruff Cut. The article described this new blaster as firing two darts at the same time leading to speculation that the Ruff Cut was going to be an Elite version of the Barrel Break. Then at the beginning of this month, UK Nerf revealed a pricelist from AB Gee which listed the 'Rough Cut' with the suffix 2x4, leading to even more speculation as to the blasters form.
Thanks to these pictures, it can now be revealed that this blaster has a Barrel Break style handle, A pump action grip and 8 barrels.
The way these barrels are arranged is quite interesting. It now appears that the '2x4' referrs to the fact that the barrels are arranged in two columns of four.
We know that the Ruff Cut fires two darts at the same time so it would appear that this blaster gives you four shots. The pump grip presumably primes the blaster and somehow advances through the barrels.
Personally, I love the look of this thing. I am a sucker for pump action so this could well become my favourite blaster yet!
Thanks to Urban Taggers for the news.

Nice zooming in. I still there's a chance that's fake, but it looks pretty Nerf-like. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one!
ReplyDeleteThis pic was taken from instagram from a young chap who is an actor in the Nerf adverts. I read the article on Urban Taggers and then did my own legwork to get the pics. I think it's fair to say that these images are legit.
DeleteSOOO EXCITED!
Oh that's good :) It looks like it will be good for intergrations. Can't wait to see what people can cook up with it as well as getting my own :)
DeleteLooks like someone is getting back into Nerf! YAY!
