Nerf Elite Rapidstrike CS-18

Disclaimer: The information supplied here is purely speculative, based on information gathered from public sources such as from shopping websites that have put up pages for the Rapidstrike.

An image and some information about an upcoming Nerf blaster has been leaked. It's called the Nerf Elite Rapidstrike CS-18, and it is Hasbro's new fully automatic, large, "high end" Nerf blaster. It could be said that it is a Stampede replacement.
Here's what we know about the Rapidstrike:
  • Fully automatic, possibly with semi-auto or burst fire modes as well.
  • Fires up to 3.6 darts per second - much faster than a stock Stampede.
  • The firing mechanism uses flywheels, and an electric dart pusher (compare the trigger width to that of a Stryfe or Rayven!)
  • Uses 4 C-type batteries.
  • Significantly lighter than the Stampede. One source (broken on HvZ forums) claims 75% lighter, making it about 0.8kg.
  • Strap loops/rings! The 3 (below handle, above handle, and by the sight on the front) look fantastic.
  • Similar clip release system as the Stryfe.
  • Come with only one 18-dart clear clip.
  • Adjustable stock.
  • Cost approximately £40.
Overall this thing looks great, as far as I can tell. There's currently no known release date for the blaster, but I'd assume it will be this year. I will keep this post updated if I come across any new information.

  1. where did you get all this info, not even most of this is speculative yet? for example I guessed it is semi or fully automatic, flywheels, collapsible stock. But where did you get the weight, rate of fire, batteries needed?

    1. Brokens post on HvZ forums quoting the description on one of the shopping sites before it was removed:

"RAPIDSTRIKE the gun is 100% automatic gunfire burst: up to 3.6 darts per second. Its battery is reduced. It is 75% lighter than the Stampede. For a more personalized, lacrosse is adjustable. Contains 18 darts!"

  3. Are you not bound by the same NDA as the LastDart guy?

I'm studying corporate law, and no disclaimer absolves you from any signed NDA you apparently signed at the London Toy Fair. Very odd you think you can loop-hole it because you can't.

You are either faking this or completely oblivious to the repercussions of doing so. Quality control has really taken a nose-dive somewhere down the line.

I spoke to the Dart guy and he said he's bound by the London NDA not to cover it - as is anyone else who signed it.

  4. Hi Jason,

Thank you for your concern. It's great to see that you are looking out for us.

The author of this post gathered the information from public sources which he has credited and is not bound by the NDA as I am. BurntCustard will confirm that I have not disclosed any information to him (which he hates me for lol) about the upcoming Nerf products.

If Hasbro had a problem with the post, I'm sure they will contact me as they have in the past. I have a good relationship with Hasbro and would never knowingly jeopardise this.

Thank you once again for your concern. Keep on Nerfing!

  5. Hi UKNW

Thanks for the response. Despite you not being the Admin here, the leaked news would not have a good impact on relationship with Hasbro. The team might not be under the NDA, this still puts you in dangerous waters personally if they pursue it. Just looking out for you.

Using this loophole still puts you in dangerous footing.

I hope you return back soon, because the quality of this site has nose dived with really poor grammar and typos.

    1. The release date of this blaster is still unknown. There are several blasters due to be released this year and I'd say either this or the Mega Centurion are good contenders for the 9/9/13 release.

Either way, it's going to be a great year for Nerf blasters.

    1. As BurntCustard said, it takes 4 C cell batteries. Actually.
